I Am Not A Virgin (IANAV) has launched an online exclusive range of womens and mens basic apparel – T-shirts, T-shirt dresses and sweatshirts – made from recycled materials including two plastic bottles per garment.
The simple yet stylish collection is made from a combination of recycled polyester, cotton and rayon, as well as yarn produced from two plastic bottles. The collection comes in three colourways – white, grey and black.
It takes 500 years for a plastic bottle to decompose and 90% of the pollution that enters the ocean from land is plastic.
IANAV is currently developing an innovative yarn that uses 100% polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and discarded rice husks (instead of cotton) that will yield an unparalleled eco-conscious and comfortable material.
Label founder, Peter Heron, describes IANAV as an “Eco Sexy” clothing brand that uses it’s green technology to make better fitting essentials.
He said “People tend to think of Eco clothing as ugly and uncomfortable but our brand proves it is sexy, soft and a high performing fabric.
“[IANAV] is a brand for those who care about looking good while doing good.”
The small collection is available exclusively online for a limited time only.
