Azymuth’s seminal 1980 album ‘Outubro’ is reissued this week ahead of the  jazz-funk trio’s eagerly awaited new album.

The original tapes from the era are mixed and mastered and pressed to vinyl, CD and digital format.

Outubro’ began Azymuth’s run of prolific output for Milestone Records throughout the 1980s. The Brazilian trio’s vibes are so timeless that their futuristic jazz sounds just as raw, edgy and unique today as it was on first release.

‘Outubro’ features the jazz dance floor classics ‘Maracana’ and ‘Dear Limmertz’.

No Brazilian music enthusiast’s collection can be without a part of Azymuth’s magic. If you’re new to their grooves, this reissue of ‘Outubro’ on Far Out Recordings will serve you well.

Azymuth will embark on a European tour in October and November to support the release of their forthcoming album release.

Azymuth’s Outubro is out on 24 June on Far Out Recordings
