Tenderlonious and his 22a band camp have put their remix skills to the works of iconic Brazilian drummer, Ivan ‘Mamão’ Conti, ahead of the release of the drummer’s solo album.
Ivan ‘Mamão’ Conti, one-third of Brazilian jazz-funk legends Azymuth, is set to release a solo album in 2017. In celebration, Far Out Recordings have enlisted some equally legendary beat masters from the London scene to produce a series of remixes to be spread across two separate 12″s.
Check out the Tenderlonious remix of Mamão’s Brake below. In true Tenderlonious style, Mamão’s Brake is a luscious groove that glides into the high heavens alongside Mamão’s brilliance.
The first 12″, Ivan Conti – Mamão’s Brake / Ah Que Legal (IG Culture & 22a Remixes), includes remixes by IG Culture, Jeen Bassa and Reginald Omas Mamode IV, as well as Tenderlonious.
The limited edition vinyl is due out on 27 January 2017. It will also be available in digital format.
Ivan Conti – Mamão’s Brake / Ah Que Legal (IG Culture & 22a Remixes) is available to pre-order from Far Out Recordings
