Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii’s Kahi Pacarro on what really matters

Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii’s Executive Director Kahi Pacarro quit his job in real estate development to go travelling. After two years of travelling, he returned home to Honolulu, Hawaii to witness much of what he saw on his travels – polluted waters and a general lack of respect for the environment. It urged him to set up a beach clean up program alongside a group of friends and like-minded individuals.

In this video, Kahi Pacarro explains his journey from real estate to his calling, an ambassador of the oceans, helping to preserve the waters.

The surfer now gives talks around the world about the work he does to preserve the environment and how to make a not-for-profit sustainable.

As Kahi says: “Don’t get caught up in the minutiae of constantly worrying about your bills and what not. Taking that leap of faith and watching everything fall into place, or not, and learning from those mistakes and not doing that again.”

Check out Kahi Pacarro’s story here. An inspiration for anyone following their purpose and their passions.
