Iconic fashion designer Vivienne Westwood has always stood out from the crowd not just for her bold and daring fashion designs but because she speaks her truth, lives her truth and stands for what matters to her true self and the environment she inhabits. Swallow Bags have captured that very essence of Vivienne on a limited edition tote, ‘The Vivienne’, of which £5 for every sale will be donated to the Inga Foundation, in support of Climate Revolution Vivienne Westwood.
Swallow Bags’s limited edition tote bag, made from eco-friendly materials including 100% organic cotton, captures Vivienne Westwood on a beach and wearing a robe that incorporates the Wales flag and holding a placard.
The powerful image embodies the fashion designer’s fight for the environment and was taken as part of her anti-fracking tour. The tour involved Vivienne Westwood spending a week touring the UK educating and informing people of the disasters fracking can cause.
The Vivienne tote bag, which comes in chic black, is part of a new collection from Swallow Bags featuring personalities and voices who shun society’s norms and conventions – “real people who dare to stand out from the crowd by not caring what the crowd thinks”, Swallow Bags say.
‘The Vivienne’ tote is available now exclusively online from Swallow Bags. The bag is priced £35/€40 with £5 of that sale going towards the The Inga Foundation, which works to help communities around the world to change from slash-and-burn agriculture to alternative agriculture systems that can save farmers from having to clear their areas of rainforest year after year, just to survive.
