Lyonsleaf is a beauty brand providing customers with natural skincare products that heal and soothe skin at affordable prices, and empower consumers to take charge of their own health and wellbeing.

Lyonsleaf products are made on a small farm on the Mendip Hills in Somerset, England. Lyonsleaf grow its own ingredients where possible, to ensure the harvest is the best quality and that nothing has been sprayed or grown with chemicals.

The products on offer are great for people who have sensitive skin and are aligned with using natural products.

Lyonsleaf make use of plants and herbs that are skin-soothing and moisturising such as calendula, which is great for the whole family from babies to adults. They also sell soaps made from goat’s milk that is palm oil free.

Among Lyonsleaf’s product range is a body butter made from organic shea butter, coconut oil and avocado oil and an all-in-one Beauty Balm, made using Babassu oil cold pressed from wild harvest Babassu nuts, which can be used as a cleanser and moisturiser.

Babassu oil is cold pressed from wild harvest Babassu nuts which naturally fall in the Amazon rainforest and are not subject to use of chemicals when growing or in their processing. Indigenous to Brazil, the Babassu tree is known as the Tree of Life. It is an emolient oil when applied directly to the skin, producing a cooling effect.

All Lyonsleaf products are 100% water free, since water-free products don’t require the use of harsh preservatives and emulsifiers.

Lyonsleaf, the brainchild of husband and wife team Ben and Vicky Lyons, takes an honest approach to skincare. They provide their customers with information about herbs, plants and skincare so the consumer can make an informed choice about their purchases.

The products are obviously made from experience of living with sensitive skin. Vicky Lyons herself had developed an intolerance to certain products and experienced excema. Her and her husband’s decision to be more conscious of nutrition and the effects of artificial chemicals on the body shines through in Lyonsleaf as a brand.

Anyone who loves big cats are likely to have an affinity with this brand, as Lyonsleaf’s logo features a striking lion with a mane that sprouts herbs and plants. The packaging and design is simple and effective.

Lyonsleaf products come in amber bottles and aluminium tins, and although the brand have not stated on their website whether their packaging is made from recycled materials or not, there doesn’t seem to be any sign of plastic, which is another plus from this honest and independent beauty brand.
