Mangle & Wringer have created a line of natural household cleaning products without any harsh chemicals or ingredients that is kind to both skin and the environment.
The Mangle & Wringer range has all the key household cleaning items including an oxygen bleach – a safe and non-toxic, biodegradable alternative to harsh chlorine bleach that can be used in the bathroom as well as to clean stains from textiles and clothes; pure laundry powder made from 100% coconut oil soap, natural minerals and water softeners; and a old fashioned beeswax polish.
Mangle & Wringer provide natural and safe products for household cleaning, which are non-toxic. The handmade products are also packaged in amber glass bottles, paper bags and aluminium tins, which are sustainable, and also retain the shelf life of natural products.
The brand also has an interesting story as founder Vanessa Willes, inherited “a battered cardboard box containing the precious, handwritten notebooks from long-time housekeeper Bette Smith”. It is the knowledge of natural remedies acquired by Bette Smith over the years that make up the Mangle & Wringer’s range of natural cleaning products.
Vanessa Willes met housekeeper Bette Smith whilst recovering from chronic fatigue syndrome. Bette Smith, who had been raised on traditional values of thrift and practicality, prided herself on using only products that she had made herself.
In honour of the knowledge shared, Mangle & Wringer even pay homage to the housekeeper’s wisdom and have named one of its award-winning products after her, Bette’s Bar – a cold-processed soap bar, made from 100% coconut oil, which can be used for anything and everything – from washing the body to use as a stain remover.
