“Dear Nature…”: Young people express gratitude in Global Generation film

Global Generation have gathered the thoughts of young people on their connection to nature by getting them to each write a letter to Mother Nature.

Documented on this video, Global Generation asked young children to write a letter to nature to celebrate the ‘Bees for a Better World’ project.

Global Generation is an educational charity, which works together with local children, young people, and residents in London’s Camden, Islington and Southwark to create healthy, integrated and environmentally responsible communities.

Global Generation’s Space and Nature project explores the wonder of nature, providing children and young people with direct hands-on experience at the Skip Garden. The Skip Garden, Global Generation’s London-based HQ, is a moveable urban food growing garden in the middle of the King’s Cross development site.

The Skip Garden is an urban oasis in which herbs, chillies, apples, sweet potatoes and cabbages grow out of skips and planters made out of scaffold boards and other reclaimed materials.

Global Generation say: “We [Global Generation] endeavour to provide an inspiring environment for children’s learning and well-being. We work to develop in children a deeper sense of what we call ‘I, We and the Planet.’ That is, a deeper and enriched sense of who they are, the world around them and how everything in life is interconnected.”
