Waterside Restaurant, a canalside eatery in London’s Shoreditch, does its best to be “sustainable” on all accounts from a seasonal menu, local produce and a specially designed energy efficient kitchen.
But this restaurant specialising in British food, goes a step further. Waterside Restaurant is host to Shoreditch Trust’s Blue Marble Training Programme providing support and training to young adults to enable them to transition into independent living and sustainable employment.
Owned and run by Shoreditch Trust, a charity which works to empower deprived communities in Hackney, Waterhouse Restaurant runs a training scheme giving youngsters, who might not otherwise get the chance, an opportunity to enter the restaurant industry and gain experience.
Blue Marble Training is just one of several projects run by Shoreditch Trust, encouraging people to achieve greater independence and resilience and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives in their communities.

Waterhouse Restaurant is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 3pm, serving breakfast and lunch.
