Gro Play: Fun apps around sustainable living for kids and parents

Gro Play have created a series of fun-filled apps that help children and parents to learn about sustainable living, health and wellbeing.

The Gro Play collection of apps – which includes Grow Forest, Gro Garden, Gro Flowers, Gro Recycling, Gro Memo and more – teaches children and their families about growing food, nurturing plants, recycling, ocean pollution and biodiversity in a fun and simple way.

The purpose of the games are to encourage and support a child’s connection to nature through an interactive learning experience.

A city builder app, Alfie Atkins, encourages kids growing up in urban areas, in particular, to keep their city clean. Alfie keeps the world clean and uses the recycled material to build roads, residential houses, shops, schools, parks and more.

In the Alfie Atkins app, as the community grows, players of the game and Alfie help the citizens to do fun chores around the city, such as cleaning windows, charging cars, go shopping, rake leaves, and even put out fires just like real firefighters. In return, citizens provide rewards.

All Gro Play apps are available for iPhone and iPad from the App Store. Selected apps are also available for Android, Kindle and Windows.
