Kick start your day with a healthy and nutritious banana and peanut butter smoothie.
This simple recipe uses whole milk (you can substitute with any milk of your choice), banana and peanut butter. The addition of porridge oats gives the smoothie a thicker consistency, as well as the health benefits of oats, which is also a good source of fibre.
When using peanut butter, look for those which are in their most natural, raw-like state with no added sugar, salt or palm oil.
300ml of Whole Milk (or any milk of your choice)
1 ripe Banana
1 tbsp of Peanut Butter, smooth or crunchy
1 tbsp of Porridge Oats
Place all the ingredients in a blender, and blend for a few seconds. Serve chilled with crushed ice (optional).
