Go Jauntly: App encourages city dwellers and families to walk in green spaces

Walking is one of the best exercises and enables one to see and explore the most beautiful spaces that Mother Nature has to offer, rather than being confined by the walls of a gym and wondering what the heck you are doing there.

What’s more, walking can be enjoyed by the whole family and it’s a great opportunity to strengthen the bonds with loved ones as well as Mother Nature. Go Jauntly is a free community-based app which helps people to find local walks.

Created by a team of city dwellers who love nature, Go Jauntly also enables users to create their own walks and share them with friends and the Go Jauntly community.

What’s great about this app is that it is family-friendly, meaning that many of the walks that have been created and shared are suitable for young families. For those based in London, the app also suggests street art walks that mixes “urban and nature”.

Go Jauntly recently teamed up with The Woodland Trust to create an inspiring Ancient Tree Walk in London. With London being around 47% green space, the Ancient Tree Walk takes walkers from Indian Beans to London’s oldest Hyrid Strawberry tree in Battersea Park.

Go Jauntly is available to download for free from the App Store
