Kids Speak for Parks: A nine-year-old’s quest to protect and preserve national parks in the US

Kids Speak for Parks is a nonprofit committed to advocating for the preservation of national monuments currently threatened by the Trump administration in the United States.

The nonprofit was created by nine-year-old Robbie Bond to take a stand to protect and preserve the national parks that make up the US.

Robbie Bond, a nature lover, said: “When the Trump administration issued an executive order threatening to harm 27 of our national monuments, I knew I couldn’t just tour our national parks. I needed to speak up.

“I love nature and think kids are the best voice to stand up for parks. I am going across the country to visit national parks and speak up to protect them.

“We must build an army of fourth graders and their families to stand up and speak for the parks. Our government needs to hear, from the youngest amongst us, that our national parks and monuments are not for sale.”

Robbie Bond has spent his last year travelling around the US visiting National Monuments & Parks, meeting with legislators in Washington D.C. and speaking to students like himself all across the country.
