Street artist Cryptik has released a limited edition print, The Illumination, as part of his Sacred Lotus Series.
The beautiful serigraph print, with gold foil stamping, emanates an ancient Sanskrit prayer from the centre of the lotus. This prayer aims to move people from their personal, egoic self, towards embracing greater peace and compassion for all life.
Cryptik says: “In these times of great change and global uncertainty, there is one prayer that always comes to mind, ‘Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu’, which translates to, ‘May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all’.
“It is a blessing for global well-being and collective peace in our world, reminding us of the interconnectedness we all share. Through this prayer may we become more mindful of the way our thoughts, words and actions affect others, as well as, our planet.”
There are currently only 130 prints of The Illumination, all of which are signed and numbered by the artist himself.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of The Illumination limited edition prints will go towards supporting the Nepal-based Koseli School for under-privileged children.
