C Soap made from recycled waste cooking oil helps to preserve nature on Vancouver Island

C Soap is an all purpose cleaning bar made from recycled waste cooking oil.

Available in British Columbia, C Soap bars, which are handmade in Victoria, are chemical free, cruelty free and zero waste. The C Soap team collect waste cooking oil from houses and restaurants in the Victoria area, and transform the grease into clean soap for laundry, dishes and household items.

The zero waste soap bars prevent cooking oil from reaching and contaminating soil and waters, helping to preserve nature and marine lives on Vancouver Island.

The versatile C Soap can be used for laundry, washing dishes and in the bathroom.

C Soap started with two women who moved to Vancouver Island in 2015. One of the founders, Carol Folhasi grew up in Brazil watching her grandmother and other women, who had been turning used cooking oil into soap for all cleaning purposes for many decades.

At C Soap the oil gets filtered and processed locally without the use of harsh chemicals and preservatives. Everything is prepared by hand to produce the least amount of waste as possible.

C Soap is available to purchase online from the C Soap website.
