rCup: Introducing a reusable coffee cup made from recycled paper coffee cups

rCup, the world’s first reusable coffee cup made from recycled paper coffee cups, is the latest reusable coffee cup offering.

Made by award-winning design company ashortwalk, rCUP is BPA free, dishwasher safe, leak proof and designed for a 10+ years lifetime.

Each rCup is made from six coffee cups, and features a screw-top lid to keep hot drinks secure. The reusable cups, which themselves can be recycled, is fully insulated and said to keep drinks warm for over an hour.

rCUPis the brainchild of former Dyson designer Dan Dicker and a team of specialist recycling experts who set out on a mission to create the best reusable cup on the market today.

Based on the “nothing is truly recycled until it’s reused” ethos, ashortwalk’s first step was to find a way to recycle the tonnes of paper coffee cups being thrown away every day. The second was to evaluate and improve on the functionality of existing travel mugs to ensure we use them more and completely eliminate single use cups.

rCup is available to buy online from the rCup website.
