Kokedama: Create a hanging garden in your home with Japanese ornamental plants

Kokedama is a moss ball on which an ornamental plant grows. These traditional Japanese hanging arrangements make beautiful additions to any households, given that they work best as indoor plants.

A style of Japanese bonsai, Kokedama is made by taking a plant out of its pot and placing into a ball of soil held together with a unique soil mixture, moss and string.

Traditionally the centuries-old Japanese form of kokedama was used to display on an altar-like platform.

These intricate and beautiful plant artworks are pretty simple to make. The below video shows you how to make a kokedama and explains how to look after it.
