Big Wild Weekend: Take part in nighttime nature trails, beach cleans and a music festival

Take a walk on the wildside with nighttime nature trails as part of The Wildlife Trusts’ Big Wild Weekend this weekend.

The night nature events, which take place across the UK this evening, include bat detecting and a Woodside music festivals.

The Big Wild Weekend is two days of  wildlife and nature events taking place across the UK from 16-17 June. There are more than 200 events for all ages and levels of interest – badger watches, picnics, butterfly hunts, wildlife identification courses, beach cleans, night-time nature rambles and a music festival.

Wildlife Trusts across the country are running events helping locals to discover and enjoy wildlife “on your doorstep”.

The Big Wild Weekend takes place halfway through 30DaysWild – the UK’s annual nature challenge organised by The Wildlife Trusts and which runs from the 1-30 June.
