How Forests Heal People: Short film promotes benefits of seeking sanctuary in nature

How many times have you sought sanctuary in nature when in need of “time out”? The infinite healing powers of nature, specifically the forest, is explored in short film, How Forests Heal People.

Made by award-winning Indian filmmaker Nitin Das for a project called Healing Forest, How Forests Heal People was filmed in India, Yosemite, and forests on the US East Coast, to showcase the magical healing powers of the forest.

Countries such as South Korea and Japan have designated healing forests. Forests that one can go to find calm, balance and good health. Forests that help people recover, relax and revive.

The Healing Forest project strives to help heal people through reconnection with nature (through silent, contemplative walks through urban green settings in small groups), and to help heal forests through volunteer work.
