If you are wanting to grow your own food but don’t have a garden, it’s still possible to grow plants indoors for food and wellbeing.
This Saturday at Shoreditch’s Nomadic Community Gardens, Horticulturalist Hannah Schlotter will be teaching people how to grow herbs, salads, and ornamental plants with beneficial properties.
Participants at the event, Growing Indoors: For Food and Wellbeing, will learn skills in seed sowing, transplanting, taking cuttings, and tips in how to keep plants happy indoors. They will also be able to take some plants away to get started at home.
Hannah Schlotter, founder of the vlog Hannah Grows, works at Growing Communities Dagenham Farm teaching people how to grow and cook as part of their Grown in Dagenham project. She is also an Ambassador for Kew Garden’s Grow Wild Campaign to rejuvenate Britain’s wildflowers.
Growing Indoors: For Food and Wellbeing takes place at the Roving Cafe, Nomadic Community Gardens, London E1 5ES on Saturday 30 June between 2pm and 4pm. Tickets cost £25.75 and can be booked through Eventbrite
