Former LA Dodgers baseball legend, Dusty Baker has set his sights on solar energy bringing renewable energy to a wide range of consumers.
Dusty Baker’s new startup, Baker Energy Team – based outside Sacramento, California – is developing, pitching and working on large projects for historically black universities, cannabis-growing operations, tribal reservations and commercial businesses.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Dusty Baker told of how he got into renewable energy after the last two teams he managed, the Reds and the Nationals, fired him after playoff appearances. He said: “That’s definitely something I learned about losing these (managerial) jobs. You still got to live.
“I figured if they don’t want me on their team, I’ll create my own. I can put a team together. That’s why I named it the Baker Energy Team.”
Dusty Baker’s Baker Energy Team also offers microgrids, battery and electric-vehicle charging stations, as part of its services.
