Australia’s first portable bar Trolley’d is serving up cocktails, with a focus on sustainability, from repurposed airline cart bar trolleys.
All cocktails use ingredients use ingredients sourced from local farms, and native ingredients foraged by Trolley’d’s team.
The portable bar hire business was founded by “hospitality aficionados” Christopher Thomas and Byron Woolfrey in Sydney. The pair met while working together at Bronte-based cafe, Three Blue Ducks, where they discovered they shared a lot of common ground including sustainability and local organic produce.
In an interview with Meet The People, Christopher Thomas and Byron Woolfrey say: “We’re here to educate and learn. Sustainability is part of our ethos. To be ethical all the way along, when we’re constantly climbing the trees around our suburb people are coming and asking us what we’re doing, so we’re not here to preach, just to inform and do something positive for our community.
“It’s also important to acknowledge and respect the mother land and its caretakers. Forage what you need, leaving for the next person and always giving thanks and showing respect to its cultural heritage.”
Trolley’d are available for hire at events including hen parties and corporate events.
