Thai farm and beauty brand, Happy Earth are “trying to redefine the definition of clean beauty” by creating products from fruits, leaves and seeds, some of which are even edible.
The small, organic farm in Uthaithani, Thailand makes 100% natural, chemical-free and biodegradable beauty products using produce from the farm, where they grow corn, rice, sesame and kaffir lime. All products are handmade using traditional techniques.
Among Happy Earth’s product range is a No-Poo Head to Toe Body Wash and Shampoo, Organic Jasmine Rice Face Mask, Organic Mung Bean Powder Body Scrub and Wash, Organic Cold Pressed Sesame Oil, and Kaffir Lime Essential Oil. The planet-friendly product range also includes a Soap-Free Pet Conditioning Shampoo.
Happy Earth Farm was set up by former environmental NGO workers and couple, Nok and Kamphol. The couple turned their back on the hectic city life of Bangkok and returned to Kamphol’s homeland in Uthaitani in search of a change within. What they discovered is that internal change means “to be completely surrendered to the existence of mother nature”. To live with mother earth, to learn from her and to grow as a person alongside her.
The couple who founded the farm in 2005 also hold workshops for kids including seeding, tie-dye and farming.
Happy Earth Farm say: “Happy Earth Farm is an initiative to learn, live and grow together with Mother Earth. We strive to spread our organic lifestyle to protect the earth and support all of its inhabitants.
“More than 10 years have passed since the start, our farm, though remains small in size, has also grown to become a learning centre committed to spreading an organic and sustainable life style by bringing back old farmland wisdom in our farming practice and making body care products.
“In the future, we hope we can reach far and wide and touch more lives even outside of our home land because by doing so, we can continue our sustainable organic living legacy and inspire the crowd to learn, live and grow with Mother Earth.”
Part of the proceeds from the sale of Happy Earth Farm’s products goes towards supporting various community projects that teach local children about the environment.
