Fashion rental service Hirestreet team up with travel agent Contiki to offer travellers a rental holiday wardrobe collection

Fashion rental service Hirestreet has teamed up with travel agent, Contiki to curate a new clothing collection that encourages travellers to rent their holiday wardrobe instead of buying new.

Hirestreet’s Winter Sun Collection in partnership with Contiki, who specialise in holidays for 18-35 year olds, includes a selection of midi and mini dresses, a co-ordinates set with crop-top and trousers, and a jumpsuit to wear to warm-weather destinations.

Items from the collection are available to rent from £12, with special offers becoming available to customers who book through Contiki.

All outfits are available to rent for 4-16 days. Holiday goers can simply choose their outfit via the Hirestreet website, select their rental period and checkout to reserve their item(s). Once they have received their outfit, they can wear it as much as they like until the return date, when the items can be put in a pre-paid postage bag and dropped off at a designated returns location. The clothes are then cleaned by Hirestreet on their return.

The UK-based fashion rental service Hirestreet is focused on giving women access to premium brands at an affordable price in a sustainable way. The company aims to “create a positive and inclusive environment for our customers to stay on trend whilst also being financially and environmentally conscious”.

Under its Contiki Cares initiative, Contiki has pledged to “protect the communities we visit, the wildlife we interact with, and the planet we all share”.

According to Contiki, the travel company delivers on its pledges by working together with local communities and artisans; supporting and educating on ethical animal experiences; and eliminating single use plastic in travelling by offering a fully recycled water bottle that has a built in filtration system.

Contiki is part of The Travel Corporation’s family of brands which includes the TreadRight Foundation. The TreadRight Foundation was established 10 years ago as a not-for-profit organisation focused on promoting sustainable tourism across The Travel Corporation’s businesses including Contiki. To date, TreadRight has supported over 50 sustainable tourism projects worldwide

Launching the collection last month, Hirestreet said: “At Hirestreet we believe that Contiki’s ethos aligns with our own to reduce the overall environmental impact. It couldn’t be a more fitting match, sustainable travel and outfits!

“On holiday you deserve to look and feel your best, and with Hirestreet and Contiki you can do this without it costing a fortune OR damaging the environment. Avoid the last minute panic of packing and look flawless in multiple new rental outfits. Radiate confidence from wearing a new outfit customised for any type of holiday without the guilt of costing the Earth.”
