House of Herbology: DIY Natural Cleaning Spray with Citrus

Make your own cleaning spray that’s non-toxic and naturally anti-bacterial using citrus peels and that kitchen cupboard staple, vinegar.

If you’re looking for a non-toxic household cleaner for everyday clean-ups, a natural cleaning spray with vinegar and citrus fruit peel can do the job. Vinegar typically contains around 5-8 % acetic acid by volume. Acetic acid can act as a disinfectant that can destroy some bacteria and viruses. Citrus fruits and peels also have antibacterial properties.

The below video shows you how to make a natural cleaning spray using vinegar as a base and citrus peels and herbs. This requires you to soak the peels and herbs for at least a month before using. For the purpose of this cleaning solution, use white vinegar.
