British beekeeper and producer Bioni Samp has laid down some tracks using the sound of bees.
The London-based beekeeper records the pollinators buzzing in their hives using homemade equipment. He then extracts samples from the recordings and data, and processes the sounds through his Hive Synthesizer, which uses honey as an organic electrical resistor.
Bioni Samp, who has played at music festivals around the world, uses his music to raise awareness of bees and the need to save these important pollinators if agriculture is to survive.
