How to grow Aloe Vera from a single leaf

Do you have an Aloe Vera plant at home where one or two of the leaves are breaking off? If the leaf is healthy, you can cut it, plant it and with a lot of TLC it can grow roots.

The below video shows you how you can grow a new plant from a single Aloe Vera leaf. It also shows you how you can make your own cactus potting mix by mixing sand with potting mix, and using ground cinnamon or honey mixed in water to stimulate root growth.

  1. I have aloe vera all over the house and grow new ones from the seedlings that pop up. One got so big I put it in the garden in a sheltered spot and it survived our wet mild winter.
