Chicken Wings are a perfect food whether you want just a light appetiser or want a blow-out dinner served with any number of side dishes. Chicken wings are pretty versatile and you can experiment with various marinades.
While you can easily purchase ready-made BBQ chicken wings from most grocery stores, nothing beats homemade, and what’s more they are easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
1kg chicken wings
2 tbsps sunflower oil
4 tbsps BBQ sauce (I used Bull’s-Eye Original BBQ Sauce which worked really well)
1-and-a-half tbsps of apple cider vinegar
1 tsp of dry chilli flakes
Method:
1. In a heatproof glass dish, add the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, sunflower oil and dry chilli flakes and mix well to make the marinade.
2. Add the chicken wings to the dish making sure that you coat the wings evenly with the marinade. Cover with silver foil and leave in the fridge overnight to marinate.
3. Preheat the oven to 200C. Cook the wings for 25-30mins. Serve with sweet potato fries or french fries.
