House of Herbology: DIY Solid Shampoo & Conditioner Bars

There are now numerous alternatives to toiletries in plastic bottles – everything from glass bottles, reusable refills, through to solidified versions of liquid cosmetics such as shampoo and conditioner.

Making your own Shampoo and Conditioner Bars at home means you can experiment with essential oils and nourishing, natural ingredients that are beneficial for your hair. The below video shows you how to create the bars, which you can use as a basic framework to create your signature shampoo and conditioner that will work with your hair type.

If you want to darken tresses, you can add sage and rosemary essential oils in the conditioner, or if you want your hair to be less dry and more manageable include oat milk and a few drops of lavender to your conditioner bars. And if you want a clarifying shampoo, add a few drops of tea tree oil.
