Incense sticks are wonderful to have in your space but they can be messy. There is a clean way to catch the ash from the incense whilst eliminating on waste, by using aluminium drinks cans as incense stick holders.

These days there are many different aluminium cans with pretty designs on them which add a touch of colour to your space.

Instructions:
1. Once you have finished with aluminium drinks cans, rinse them with water and leave them to dry (ring pull side downwards).
2. Get a small funnel and place it in the open mouthpiece of the can, and fill the funnel with salt (table salt will do) until the can is at least 3/4’s of the way full.
3. Place the incense stick in the can and lodge it into the salt or sand so that it stands upright. The incense ash will naturally fall on to the rim of the can as it burns.
4. When the incense has stopped burning, pull out the remainder of the wooden stick from the can and discard.
