Sustainable footwear on-demand is enabling Spanish footwear brand Alohas to tackle overproduction in fashion and cut its carbon footprint.

The Barcelona-based, women’s footwear brand operates on a pre-order system, allowing the business “to accurately anticipate demand levels prior to production, so we produce the amount of shoes we’re going to sell”.
According to Alohas, their on-demand business model means fewer, bigger, outdated collections and no wasted stock.

Alohas works with a team of artisans to produce their shoes locally in the coastal region of Alicante, Spain. The product range includes leather as well as vegan options.
