Life On The Hedge is a new podcast by The Tree Council which explores the magic of hedgerows and the growing abundance of green jobs available to young people in the UK.
Hedgerows are the largest wildlife habitat in the UK and their carbon-guzzling, pollution-absorbing, wildlife-sheltering powers make them a crucial part of the solution to environmental challenges.
In each episode of Life On The Hedge podcast, listeners will hear from a young person at the beginning of their career in nature and learn how they got started in the sector. They also head outside to show what it’s really like to plant trees, cultivate native species, lay hedges, work with farmers and volunteers and discover the wildlife that depends upon our hedges.
The podcast also aims to help young people who want a career in nature to get started with handy links and resources available to help them on their own journey.
